As the air began turning crisp by Fall of 2001, I had chalked out an itinerary that would allow me to explore the natural regions of the beautiful Piedmont and with it, the beauty of autumn. The drive through roads lined by lovely fall foliage was inspiring, and that was only exaggerated by the scenic trail, views and climb atop the magnificent Chimney Rock. A must-visit spot!
