Amazing Sunsets: Pune, November 2020

:: Galleries – Nature: Sunsets – Nov 2020:

One of my favorite quotes goes: “Watch more sunsets than Netflix “and it’s something I cannot resist! At every opportunity that I can get, I will not miss a sunset.

One cannot be sure of what it might turn out like, but, even if it doesn’t, it’s usually lovely, to see the journey of the sun (or, actually, the Earth we stand on), as it completes a day. Every season (hmm, well, maybe not the piercing summer here) usually offers some great sunsets, especially, as many photographer’s would agree, when the sky is also a tad cloudy.

It was on once such evening, and though, not very cloudy, as usual, with camera in tow, made my way to one of the best spots in Pune, to watch the sunset, little knowing, that what would unfold would be like none other.

Here, are the pictures of this outing – and surely, wouldn’t be the last for me. So, keep watching this space!

Rajgad Fort Trek, Pune ([9])

:: Rajgad Fort Trek, Pune (cont’d)

The trek to the Rajgad Fort, started off with inspiring notes. Every stage along the way was amazing, and offered beautiful views, excitement, and adrenaline rush.

The trek is moderate grade difficulty, but, is not easy by any measure – and even, though our feet were screaming with pain by the time we began our descent, the vistas and sunset promised more action. In the end, it was all worth it! Besides the amazing weather, landscape and scenery, this was a very well organized trek by Nelda Foundation, and albeit, the remains of the historic fort are few, it goes to show the amazing prowess and historic significance of the great Maratha warriors of the time!

Rajgad Fort Trek, Pune ([8] – cont’d)

:: Rajgad Fort Trek, Pune (cont’d)

The trek to the Rajgad Fort, started off with inspiring notes. Every stage along the way was amazing, and offered beautiful views, excitement, and adrenaline rush. Reaching the Maha Darwaza (ie Main Gate) to Bale Killa (ie little fort), was arduous (and though graded as medium, is not that easy). Enthused by our progress and the promise of more, we continue on.

I’ll be adding more of them here, as and when I get the chance, but, do have a look.
